Kitchen Equipment

Below you’ll find the kitchen equipment I have come to love over the years. These items are the best quality for the most reasonable price and are all BPA free with an emphasis on avoiding non-stick coatings, and other toxins.

Blendtech makes excellent high speed blenders that actually micronize your food allowing for optimum absorption. The one pictured below is our favorite because it has 10 speeds and a large carafe/jar but there are more economical options that are just as great.

Blendtec Total Classic Original Blender – WildSide+ Jar (90 oz) – Professional-Grade Power – 6 Pre-programmed Cycles – 10-speeds – Black

For a “manual” pressure cooker this one is great. It is large and simple to use. I use this for all of our beans, taro, etc.

And of course you can also use Instapot as a pressure cooker – it also doubles as a rice cooker for me. To be honest I don’t do much more with it at the moment but will probably experiment later if my family grows 😉 This is the one we have – there are a few different ones. I like this one because it has lots of programmable options including manual pressure cooking function.

For breads or anything that needs significant mixing, of course I recommend Kitchenaid Mixers. The one below I actually bought at costco. I like it because it has a large mixing bowl and the bowl comes out easily instead of the tilting head type. The stainless steel model holds up well in the humid tropics.
